USMC M40 A3
The USMC M40 was first brought into service in 1966 and was used extensively through the Vietnam War. It had a variety of configurations and was adapted to suit operational demands when needed. By 2001 the rifle had been upgraded hugely compared to its first iteration, it had now become the rifle we base our heritage M40 on today. The US Marine corps adopted the rifle and used it through various conflicts, it was and still is today used by new recruits in sniper training school in the U.S.

When we started looking at replicating the M40 we chose to use Bergara barrelled actions as they follow a similar profile barrel to the original M40 Schneider contour and being a Remington 700 footprint it allows us to use other M40 replica parts. We also like to use Bergara as a brand because the factory accuracy is outstanding out of the box. We then work with McMillan in the USA to replicate a clone stock that is exactly the same as the original, we then use a Sol Strategic bottom metal and a AICS 5 round magazine. Then to finish off we cerekote the barrel, action and bolt to match the original, it also gives the rifle a durable coating.

Heritage M40 .22LR
If you are looking for a heritage style build but don't really want a centre-fire then don't worry we also offer the Heritage M40 in .22LR. Similar to the .308 we use a Bergara barrelled action. We follow the exact same spec as its bigger brother and use all the same components, the only real difference is the magazine!
